WHEN – December 8 at 7:00pm for a FREE Presentation

All of our meetup events are free. Light snacks and drinks will be provided on the night.
Dane Hallett has contributed to the film and television industry for over ten years as a prop designer, special effects artist, and concept artist. He has since moved into production design on short films, which has resulted in an invitation to the international Palm Springs short film festival in California. He has worked as an artist in a diverse range of roles on films such as Jupiter AscendingPirates of the Caribbean 5Mad Max: Fury Road, and more recently, on Alien Covenant with Ridley Scott.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear a presentation by one of Australia’s foremost prop designers and concept artists!

Dane’s presentation will be followed by an opportunity to network with artists from the film and television industry, who will share their advice on how to become a commercial illustrator in Australia. There will be folio reviews, conducted by these experts, so make sure you bring along some of your work to show them if you are a budding artist!

The event will be held at the Northern Sydney Institute, on the ground floor of the Learning and Innovation Centre (Block J), which is situated on the corner of Pacific Highway and Westbourne Street in St Leonards.
